Seventh round of the Challenge Cyclo’Tour Rotor, the Maurienne Trilogy is one of the oldest Granfondo events in France. Renowned to be one of the hardest cyclosportives in France, this event is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful. The event has made the greatest Alpine passes its playground: Lacets de Montvernier, Col du Chaussy, de la Madeleine, Col de la Croix de Fer, du Glandon, du Mollards or Col du Galibier… this is the menu of the event on the largest cycling area in the world: The Maurienne.

This year, you will be able to explore these legendary passes where the most beautiful pages in the history of cycling have been written. The event consists of 4 courses spread over the Maurienne Trilogy, i.e. the 3 days of competition or leisure mode in the assault of these mythical passes. For those wishing to enjoy the magnificent landscapes, leisure routes are offered on the tracks of competitors.

Gran Fondo World Tour

For the second consecutive year, the Maurienne Trilogy (ex-Arvan Villard) will be part of the GRAN FONDO WORLD TOUR ® 2019 (GFWT).

The Maurienne Trilogy (ex-Arvan Villard) has been selected from several events in Europe. The event was judged on several aspects such as the beauty of the landscapes crossed, the interest of the proposed routes or the quality of organization.

Open to all, the GRAN FONDO WORLD TOUR compiles in a unique international circuit the most beautiful amateur cycling events in the world to give the participant the opportunity to put himself in the shoes of a professional cyclist and to confront the best foreign cyclists on remarkable routes.  The GRAN FONDO WORLD TOUR is 11 races, 4 continents and two titles (Ladies and Men) of winner of the Gran Fondo World Tour, which will be awarded at the end of the season.
